March 6 to 14, 2027
This trip is just for the ladies! Join us as we tour Costalegre, which translates to the “happy coast”, you’re gonna love it. We’ll stay at some of the best beaches in family and women owned boutique hotels on the Pacific Coast before we head across the mountains to visit a former hacienda, now spa tucked away in a little pueblo. Our last night out on the ride will be a little cove town on the Pacific before we ride back to Puerto Vallarta. We’ve worked out all the details and a veteran women’s motorcycle tour leader will be guiding you on this journey. By the way, we have a variety of BMW and Royal Enfield motorcycles with low and lowered suspensions so you can have a comforable ride.
If You Need To Cancel
Mexico by Moto understands that plans change and circumstances don’t always work out for you to take a vacation when you wish, especially when we’re planning months or even a year into the future. We’re also a very lean company that works with smaller family owned hotels, and vendors in Mexico, as such when we put rooms, equipment, or other services on hold and then cancel with them, we often need to pay them, especially if it's very close to the date of travel. Saying all this, we have worked out with them what is fair, and what would be the optimal time to provide you with a 100% refund. We appreciate your understanding.
For our tours that run January through April.
If you cancel before December 1st, we refund 100% minus the $500 initial deposit we ask for.
If you cancel after December 1st, but more than 30 days before you travel it will cost 50% of the total price for your trip.
If you cancel within 30 days of your tour date you will not receive a refund.
All cancellation requests must be in writing via email to info@mexicobymoto.com
If Mexico by Moto Needs to Cancel
Planning for the future includes thinking about weather patterns, and other things that fall into the category of force majeure. We cannot predict if hurricanes, earthquakes, or other force majeure situations might affect our tour destinations before we travel. So we have some guidelines to help you understand how we handle these types of situations. We appreciate your understanding.
Force Majeure
If we need to cancel the trip more than 30 days before travel we can offer you a 100% refund, or a spot on a similarly priced trip of your choice.
If we need to cancel the trip within 30 days of the tour start date, we can offer you a spot on a similarly priced trip of your choice.
The only country’s travel bans we consider in making force majeure decisions is Mexico.
Low Participation
If less than 5 people have signed up for a trip we will offer you a 100% refund, or a spot on a similarly priced trip of your choice. If necessary, this decision will be announced 30 days prior to the travel date.
BMW and Royal Enfield models
Everyone gets a private room, no need to share.
The chase van will carry all your luggage, supplies, as well as tools, etc.
Every trip we'll supply a guide who can provide riding tips and assist with any issue you might have.

Each trip we have a kick off dinner so we can get to know everyone. On the last or night before the trip is over we have another special evening on us.
Once you get to our rally point at our hotel, we take care of accomodations and travel, we can help you sort out travel, but it's up to you to pay your own way.
During the day we'll stop for lunch, drinks, etc. Many times we may go out to dinner together, or you can venture out on your own. Nothing is mandatory.
Just like if you rent a car, you'll buy your own gas. The price can vary depending on the trip, but figure $10 to $15/day USD.
Sometimes parks or hot springs charge an entry fee.
We can't account for how you may wish to spend money on your trip, but for lunch, dinner, gas, tolls, etc., we usually recommend you bring an addtional $75 USD per day for a very comfortable trip.
Day 1 Saturday March 6
You'll arrive in Puerto Vallarta and make your way to our hotel. You'll have time to hang out and enjoy this wonderful city, chill by the pool, take a dip in the Pacific, enjoy yourself! In the evening we'll meet back at our hotel for a kickoff dinner.
Day 2 Sunday March 7
After breakfast you'll meet your bikes for the week. After all your gear is stowed in the chase van, we'll take off for a short ride down the Pacific Coast. Think of this as our shake out day. We'll spend some time getting use to the bikes and figure out any adjustments you need to be comfortable. When you come out of the mountains you'll see the beach town Playa Mayto through the swaying palm trees. A string of little beach side destinations make this a great spot for our first night on the road.
Day 3 Monday March 8
As with every morning, we'll have a short safety talk, see if everyone is comfortable with the bikes and in their gear. After breakfast, or a last minute dip in the Pacific, we'll ride down the coast to La Manzanillo. Every night we are planning to stay in privately owned boutique hotels, and when ever posible women owned. La Manzanillo sits on a crescent moon shaped beach with a sunset that is just magnificent. Tomorrow we'll head into the mountains!
Day 4 Tuesday March 9th
The Sierra Madre Occidental Mountians lay just east of the Coast, and today we start heading inland for twisty mountain roads, tall tree forests, and some of the oldest settlements in Mexico. Our destination for today is the city of Colima. A night of hanging out in the market, and enjoying dinner and drinks under a blanket of stars will prepare you for your ride over to one the largest lakes in Mexico.
Day 5 Wednesday March 11
If you love twisty mountain riding, you're in for a treat. But don't fear, this isn't the Baja 1000. You're going to be on paved roads and able to enjoy the ride. Switchbacks and long sweeping turns take us from town to town on our way north. At the end of your day you'll be staying in Ajijic, a resort town on Lake Chapala which is one of your guide Sue's favorite towns.
Day 6 Thursday March 12
BRAAAAP Today is a short hop to this restored Hacienda El Carmen Hotel & Spa. These beautiful rooms and grounds are straight out of a novel. Want a massage? How about a soak in a jacuzzi? Maybe you wanna go play golf or go horseback riding? Hacienda El Carmen is a destination in and of itself. Enjoy it.
Day 7 Friday March 13
I hope we don't have to push you out of bed after your evening at the spa. Our agenda for this day will be to ride out to the Pacific Ocean. We can't wait for you to see the wonderful bay at Chacala Beach. a fishing village turned weekend getaway for Guadalajara. We have a special event planned for your last night on the road so we can laugh and enjoy the experiences we've had and celebrate meeting our new friends.
After a swim, a smoothie, or one last cup of coffee, we'll load our gear in the chase van one last time and make our way south to our final destination, Puerto Vallarta. We'll stop along the way for lunch on the road, then turn in your bikes at the hotel in Puerto Vallarta. The night is yours: sit by the rooftop pool, visit the Romantic Zone, walk along the beach, have dinner in one of the hundreds of great restaurants. When you wake up Sunday morning your trip is over, but you don't have to leave Mexico. xo
