After breakfast you'll meet your bikes for the week. We'll load up our gear in the chase van, and take off for a ride out to the Pacific Ocean.  We'll get in early enough to spend some time in Puerto to shop, hang out, have a drink.  Just before sunset we'll meet up at the hotel and head down to the Bacoccho Beach for the baby turtle release.  After, you can go hit one of the many fabulous restaurants, mezcal bars, or go dancing.  It's a surf town so get ready for a early morning if you want to catch a set on one of several surf spots near by in Punta Zicatela or Playa Carrizalillo.  

This is an easy morning.  Maybe you went surfing, maybe you stayed by the pool, or maybe you just slept in, had breakfast or coffee at the hotel and just chilled out.  How ever you day starts, it's up to you and we'll have a shake out of the bikes and gear then hit the road before lunchtime.  We'll stop for lunch on the road, then make our way to the ferry that will take us, the bikes, and the chase van across the lagoon to Isla Chacahua.  This spot is not on Western Tourist's maps, but is a favorite for folks in the surf community.  It reminds me of how Puerto Escondido felt 35 years ago.  A couple hotels, several languages being spoken, sun tanned kids running around, and life runs on when the tide is coming in.  Rent a board, swim, sleep in a hammock, or sit under our tent on the beach. Anyway you spend your time here, you're gonna make some incredible memories.  

Day two on the island and what can I say...  by now you'll start wondering why you haven't been here before and ask why would you ever leave.  I promise that there's more sunsets, beaches, and incredible food down the road.  But this day, you'll get to stay right here on Isla Chacahua eating fresh food, drinking something cold, and enjoy the ocean outside our front door.  

After breakfast we'll load up our gear in the chase van, ride down to the ferry and make our way down the coast to Mauzunte.  We'll stop in Punta Zicatella for lunch at a palapa bar in the sand, and maybe take a dip.  The road down to Mazunte will be quick, and we'll make it in time to take in the sunset at Rinconcito, a favorite point overlooking the ocean.  Town will be more lively that the island, so take in the night and have dinner at the hotel, or one of the many restaurants.  

We've enjoyed the coast for a few days and now is our time to take the old road back into the Sierra's for some of the best twisty mountain riding you can imagine.  We'll climb about 7000 feet from the ocean and take about a thousand curves on our way to the top.  There's a few vistas that allow us to see the ocean, even after riding for several hours.  This is one of my favorite rides in a country filled with spectacular rides.  After we settle in, there's a special evening planned for us.  Our hotel has a Tezmecal built into the side of the mountain and a Shaman will guide us through a sweat lodge ceremony with traditional herbs, cacao, teas, honey scrubs, and cold plunges.  It's an incredible journey and motorcycles will get you here.   

After a cozy night by the fire in your mountain cabin we'll make our way back to Oaxaca City.  We have a hotel waiting for you back in the heart of the city.  We recommend you spend the night and make your travel plans for the next day so we can go on a street food tour, hitting the many stalls around the market.  Did I mention that Oaxaca is the home to about 300 different types of mole?  I had squash blossoms in a red mole that changed my life back in 1993, and last year I was shown a new food cart with the best carnitas I could have ever imagined.  This town loves food.  Maybe over a Tlayuda or a Mezcal we can talk about your next adventure with Mexcio by Moto.
